i think it'd be very fun if hesperos and his twin phosphoros were two halves of one soul. they certainly show it.

I interpret Hesperos' vampire form as a more overt, physical manifestation of his "shadow", in a Jungian sense. It is all of the traits, behaviors, and feelings that he hides, due to the nature of the highly repressive nature of ancient society.

i think i FINALLY get why i write hesperos the specific way that i do. i've been wondering for a bit, but i get it now. i think it's because we never really get to see what hesperos was like before the crash-out, and i'm a lot more fascinated in exploring that
