Our blog posts get auto-posted to social media. I don't use FB myself, but went in there to post this. I don't expect to see similar attacks from any Bsky users, but figured I should elaborate on my personal opinion here.
Hey, this is John. I don't do Facebook myself, but I know we're getting some of the usual "keep politics out of your games!" scolding and worse in comments and DMs, so I thought I'd come here to take some of the heat myself instead of leaving it all to our patient Customer Service staffer. If it really upsets you that we as a corporate entity object to the violence currently being perpetrated against our fellow Minnesotans under color of law -- things like a Hmong-American grandpa (US citizen!) being abducted from his homes wearing only a bathrobe, in sub-zero windchills, to say nothing of Renee Good being murdered with impunity (and the federal government announcing it will not investigate her shooter, but instead is investigating her widow, our governor, and the mayor of Minneapolis) -- there is something wrong with you. If you think it is unacceptable for a family-owned business, its owners, and its employees to express solidarity with their neighbors in these circumstances, there is something wrong with you. Maybe you think this is all a made-up thing. Seek professional help or religious counseling, and God help you when it is on your own doorstep. In the meantime, if you feel you need to block us or burn our games or remove them from your store shelves or whatever, as some way to protect your self-image as a True American Defender of Liberty, be my guest. In a prelude to our planned VBCW mega-game, a convoy of Dickinson & Morris Ltd supply trucks supported by Police & BUF Auxiliaries must make it through the village of Wetwang. Dockers from Hull and the Castleford Miners Union try to stop them. In the end they fought the law but the law won!
