Being in the Vocaloid community has been rough this past year with all the discourse about “slop” and trends and the divide between JP/western culture but this movie feels like the perfect reward for remaining involved for over a decade now

I’m not as critical towards her stagnation as with Kokoro cause I honestly see many avenues to go with her (especially since the writers ignored her wrecked home half the time). She worked well with the rest of the group and was downright hilarious at times. Plus the ZK arc was awesome so yeah

I've decided that the funniest piece of information to come out of the reveal is the Toei producer saying that these girls will do an unprecedented amount of thinking for Precure. Which yeah, detectives, but it sounds like hilarious slander on 22 years' worth of magical girls

✔️ Fun premise, unexpected wrinkle to it with the slight timeskip angle on top of the detective motif
✔️ Yano's designs are adorable. Their kinda nostalgic feel doesn't quite overlap with the era they go back to (early 10s-ish stylizations vs 1999 timeslip) but who cares. Good!
