This platitude is simply not enough to explain the environment we live in. Fee speech is important; but perhaps more so is consequences of intolerance. We cannot exist as a pluralistic democracy if we accept intolerance. Itβs a nonstarter.

Actually itβs almost always because of rebellions. The people en masse reject authoritarianism. The question is how long they can hold out.

A day ago the EPA officially rejected the science on global warming.
Beyond "oh, that happened" I won't read about it. I won't silently evaluate the coverage of it, as I often do. This item is going into the "too stupid, too important to be that stupid, and too painful" bucket. Do you ever do that?

Itβs because they lost funding. Once itβs back theyβll move to another city, another state, and the process will continue until House and Senate are fully controlled by Dems.
