I've been so annoyed at Democrats for years at their refusal to at least investigate gerrymandering in deep blue states considering Republicans have been doing it in most states under GOP control for years now, so I'm glad this conversation is happening.

I dig this take by Ezra Klein. It asks Democrats/liberals to turn inward and consider why the right has made inroads into the traditional Dem coalitions. "You are not the party of working families when the places you govern are places working families cannot afford to live."

I dig this take by Ezra Klein. It asks Democrats/liberals to turn inward and consider why the right has made inroads into the traditional Dem coalitions. "You are not the party of working families when the places you govern are places working families cannot afford to live."
And there goes the post World War II alliance of western democracies standing as a bulwark against Russia. I guess we're basically giving Putin the greenlight on whatever expansionist plans he has for Europe. What an embarrassment.

You know the Democratic party is a friggin mess when the main messaging I've seen from the party on tariffs is Chuck Schumer holding avocados and Coronas up at a podium saying guac is going to be more expensive in the dryest way imaginable.

This is basically how I feel about a protest vote or not voting in the general election.
“The Democrats didn’t do enough on Gaza, so I withheld my vote to make a statement.”
“Well, Trump won and now he’s gonna destroy Gaza.”
“Yep. We’re paying the price for the Democrats’ incompetence.”
“‘We?’ The Gazans are paying the price, not us”
Pause.
“I needed to make a statement.”
