finally decided to change all my age declarations on socials to "40+" and it feels bad because I'm still, y'know, Not a Grownup, but now that I'm a few years into this decade I guess I have to admit it.

This is great! But Bluesky is an open firehose - just because they are not using your work to train a generative AI model does not mean that others aren't.
Continue to use anti-AI tools to protect your creations when posting them here, because anyone can see (and therefore scrape) what you post.

there is a weird vibe when people try to identify themselves as part of the community of the platform they're using. But that's the PROBLEM these days. I want to be part of a fandom community, not fandom + THE REST OF THE WORLD all at once. 🙃

I really think if you're past a certain completion percentage on an audiobook, the library should give you at least one grace period renewal even if "other people are waiting"
