Hi! My name is Armony (they/them). I am a scientific illustrator doing tattoos since 2017. I love etching, carving and relief-printing, and topics of fauna/flora, fantasy/DnD and anatomy.

Muddy Buddies🌱✨

10x10" #watercolour and acrylic on rag paper between glass, finished with solder, patina, found glass and linen thread
commissioned and completed in 2023
a watercolour painting on hand cut rag paper, framed in between two pieces of glass and soldered at the edges. The painting is a bullfrog and a rain frog sharing some spa time on a mossy log. The bullfrog pours a ladle-full of grey, pudding-like mud over the rain frog as the rain frog closes their eyes in bliss. There is glistening mud everywhere. The frame is in a diagonal arrangement and has little bits of found glass shards decorating the edges. It hangs from vintage rust coloured flax cord. The painting of the buddies again, but against a paving stone background, to highlight the transparency of the glass. A close up on the bullfrog, covered in globs of mud. A brassy sun hangs low behind them. The bullfrog lifts the long handle of a ladle with one hand and a curved leaf in the other. They use the leaf to smooth mud on the rainfrog as the rainfrog smiles on. A close up on the rainfrog sitting on the plush moss. Their skin is patterned with mottled brown with little light spots: like many little stars in space. The rainfrog smiles with their eyes peacefully closed.

My hysterectomy went well. I'm back home and ready to recover for the next 6 weeks! Will accept shows and webtoons recommendations. Planning on doing regular sketching and reading as well during my time off.
