Most Syrians don't remember anything before the Assads.
53 years.
Hafez Assad took power via coups, and held it with brutal violence.
His son Bashar continued that, even using chemical weapons on civilians.
Hard to know what comes next, but good riddance to them, and good luck to the Syrian people.
