I won’t pay €280 a language assessment test to prove that my English level is good enough to be a doctorate student in a British university while I have been a British university student for the past 6 years. This is purely and simply discrimination. #tesol

I hold a MA in Applied linguistics and TESOL from a British university. I attended Yale and Harvardas a postgrad. I have published papers in English about English teaching. I have been asked to provide a proof of my English level from Ed.D program. #whatonearth

Promoting native speakerism is a slap on the face to all the learners of the world. It’s saying “you will never be enough.” I am raging mad that this is something qualified and competent teachers have to fight against #tesol #accentism

My daughter (3 y/o) explained to me, very calmly, that she wanted to go to Japan with me next Spring so while I work, she can “admire the flowers”. I think she particularly liked building that Lego set with me 🤣 #japaneseflowers #thingsmykidsays
