good morning. do not give into despair. do not isolate yourself in your grief and terror. let people see you. be a small light in the dark. draw the other light to you. there is no way forward alone. to go far, we must go together.

There is no reason for any group to “revive” the so-called Roman salute. For the same reason that tangential claims to ancient versions of the swastika are nothing but cover - plausible deniability. These have modern meanings and they are understood in that frame by the audience.

Libraries are temples. Sanctuaries. I virtually grew up in one. Also spent time in a lot of great public libraries while travelling. They also serve as community spaces for those who have nowhere else to go.
An Ode to My Childhood Library
Redbridge Central Library in Ilford, East London. That was my library. It was just “Ilford Central Library” back then.

Yesterday looked up a name on a ships manifest & bumped into Rudyard Kipling in cabin class! I thought should I note this down or not avoid another rabbit hole - so didn’t - now wondering if I should have - it would be madness to try to find it again - & what would I do with it anyway - so I won’t!
