Failed writer, failed musician, failed stand-up comic, failed performance artist, failed business person. Intending to continue failing gloriously until the lights go out because it's such a blast!
I think everyone should start sending him bowling trophies as a protest.

January 6th would be a day of national shame if we were a nation still capable of shame.

I was talking to a friend last night and we both agreed that like everyone else this time of year we are feeling relief that 2025 is almost over. The difference this year is that no one is imagining that 2026 is going to be better and not frighteningly worse.

95 Democrats voted for the most blatant fascist propaganda act ever before congress, The Deification of St. Charlie of the Preposterous Fallacy Act. 95! 22 didn't vote and 38 voted present, displaying their utter lack of courage and willingness to fight back. Marcy Kaptur from Ohio was a YES.

Charlie Kirk's "debates" were as much an actual debate as a Harlem Globe Trotters game is an actual basketball game. They were performative theatre to rile up his young, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, bro followers who think professional wresting is real.

I'm not enjoying the fact that Charlie Kirk was killed. I'm not a heartless monster. I am, however a big fan of brutal irony.

No matter what comes from the Epstein victims press conference today, we can all marvel that they somehow got Marjorie Taylor Greene to behave like an adult person instead of a crazed tweaker at a Klan rally for ONE WHOLE HOUR.

The Big Bulbous Bill is providing $45 billion to ICE. We are one vote away from Trump being able to create a white supremacist army that he wholly controls. I'm very frightened that the notion that violence can be avoided is just naive wishful thinking from the past.

As a party, we are prisoners being held hostage by people who simply refuse to accept that their time has passed and won’t accept that others more capable right now. Stay in the Senate, but step down from leadership. It’s time for a new approach, a new face, & a new voice.

Why are Dems allowing them to use "DEI" as a substitute for the N-word and not calling them out on how absolutely racist the whole idea of being against it is? This stuff is not that hard!

The people telling you that all the people who were deported are criminal gang members are the same people who told you that Haitian immigrants were eating dogs and cats in Ohio.

We can't let awards season end without our annual ceremony honoring the best and whitest of the year:
The 2025 Wypipo Awards
For those who felt attacked, ostracized or marginalized during Black History Month, we honor the standouts who are making the world a whiter place.

It really is reasonable to ask how we could possibly ever forgive our fellow Americans for voting for what is happening to us right now and what is going to continue to happen for years and years.

I mean the simple answer would be... we just don't, right? Ever? Because some things are unforgivable?

Elected Republicans are treating Musk and Trump like they are Billy Mumy in that Twilight Zone episode. They are all afraid of being sent to the corn field.

I spoke at DePaul University this evening with a group of amazing, politically engaged students.

The professor who invited me showed me this 1894 newspaper clipping about Italian immigrants eating cats and dogs.

I had never seen it before.

The more things change...
