Iran Tuesday morning all bundled up in 25 degree windchills with snow on the ground and froze my ass off. Today I ran in shorts and a t-shirt in 66 degrees 🥵 get it together, Fall.

Dragging myself over the finish line of a very long day. My last lesson is almost here and I’ll finally be done 😵 11 lessons today 😮💨

Tomorrow is going to be very long. I had to move my Friday lessons to tomorrow but I still have all of my Wednesday lessons so I’ll be teaching from 11-8 😵💫 I do have a break in the middle at least. The payoff is that I have Friday off from teaching (yay!) I just have Jekyll & Hyde that night.

I have 4 students named Emily in different variations (2 normal, Emilie and Emileigh). I just realized that all 4 made state high school MEA district festivals (one is in a different district than the other 3) and they are my only HS students that made it. Emily/Emilie/Emileighs are killing it!

Tonight I told my gen alpha bassoon student about the time that we trick or treated at the mall and the police ran our candy through a metal detector and wow the 80s were a wild time. They were so confused 😂 gotta teach these kids the important history.

I had the oboe equivalent of finding a random $20 in a coat pocket tonight. Found a random reed in an old reed case that I thought was crap but it played like butter 😍 it was like Christmas in November!
