There’s a situation where I’ll be @ a work conference in one location and could offer to zoom over to help at the other location immediately after. I am choosing to NOT volunteer and it feels like such a major power move. Not in that I’m trying to own my boss, but owning my own time.

Need to vent…we have had lengthy discussions about scammers after my mom got taken for 17,000 dollars. So today my husband emptied the account of the rent money and gave it all to a scammer.
I am LIVID. There is no backup plan here.
He didn’t call me first. Just took it all.

Need to vent…we have had lengthy discussions about scammers after my mom got taken for 17,000 dollars. So today my husband emptied the account of the rent money and gave it all to a scammer.

When my daughter was in elementary school she earned multiple presidential awards of merit for scholarship. In 5th grade the award was stamped with Trump’s signature. She was utterly disgusted and sad it had to be his signature. She said it looked like a heartbeat reading. This is funnier.

She did a 20 minute upper body workout and then passed out on the floor. (She can, in fact, pick up one of these 5 pounders and carry it around like it weighs nothing. But this is just me not having time to put them away before she claimed them.)

Anyone have access to a bunch of toilets to put outside John Curtis’s office? For legal purposes if such a thing does happen I wasn’t there.
Teachers thought my brother had ADHD. But maybe I need to talk to a doctor. Me on any task is a series of “pay attention”, “stop getting distracted”, etc. Cleaning the fridge=scrub, scrub, oh that baseboard is really dirty. Now I’m no longer scrubbing the fridge, I’m scrubbing baseboards. 🤦🏼♀️

Awhile ago (on that other app) I predicted that we MIGHT be able to coast six months on Biden’s economy, but it’d likely be three months before Trump’s action started to tank it. Now I’m also going to predict a major pandemic (Covid level or worse) and a major attack on the country w/in 4 years.

A pair of new shoes are rubbing my ankles the wrong way while they get broken in so I’m looking for blister prevention and I might buy this stuff just because they’re so good at ad work. I feel like they’re trolling on an entirely new level. Carefully read the name and some of the descriptions. 😆

My mother lives in the basement apartment. I’ve been busily cleaning my home and about half an hour ago I started wondering if the dog had pooped in the house (she has never done so even as a puppy). It’s not the dog. My mother is cooking the most atrocious smelling something and my house STINKS.

I have a coworker with a favorite stall in the bathroom. She marks her territory by putting clean TP in the bowl after she flushes. This way people are reluctant to use that stall and she knows if someone has used “her” toilet. Is she weird? Or AITA for always using that stall when she’s marked it?

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

I’ve studied a lot of history and I’m growing more and more worried about our options to get out of this mess. Historically speaking governments/regimes that get to this point are not easily corrected. A simple election likely won’t be sufficient.

If Dems as a group are struggling to find their voice & put up opposition then we need more individuals to follow AOC’s lead and just start jumping into the fray. If everyone starts vocalizing the issues then the group voice will start to coalesce around those individuals speaking up. Do SOMETHING!

Nearly everything you eat is about to explode in price. Especially if you like fruit out of season, avocados any time of year, cars, computers (including phones and smart watches), and gasoline…they’re all going to cost more and that’ll affect prices of everything else. Buckle up.
