This cover is soft and magical and wintry, and I'm so very honoured to say one of my stories is inside 🥹

'Winter Finds' is my first ever short story publication, and all I want to do is write and write some more because today is truly wonderful.
Thank you so much, @lunastation.bsky.social 🤍
The new issue is out! Need a break from the holidays? We've got aging druids, adorable bee-cats, vengeful weather witches & more.

In the world of science fiction and fantasy publishing, Uncanny Magazine is both an anomaly and beacon. It offers a space where queer and disabled voices, neurodiverse narrators, and unapologetically political stories are not just included but celebrated.

Finally getting a chance to read Issue 64 of @lunastation.bsky.social

‘Bussola’ by Teresa Koeppel is a beautifully moving tale of walking and walking and carefully choosing one's truly last words.

I never knew I couldn't count until I took up crochet. Chain one, two, three... When I get to twenty-six, I take stock and count backwards. Some have vanished again. Escaped their fate of being hooked and looped into a rectangle of warmth meant for next door's impending arrival. Healing? Only just.
It's time to rest. As snow blankets the earth, the world slows, halts, sleeps. We mutually agree to set aside what work we can and take a break. What do you allow yourself to enjoy in this time, to heal your body and mind?

Making the magazine hasn't always been straightforward this year. When we asked for help, people volunteered to read submissions, making it easier - and a lot more fun! We learned that TTL has friends and we're grateful for all of them.

We look forward to showing you what we have in store for 2026!

Space exploration is hazardous. It is, by definition, all about the unexpected. That means you will face difficulties you can’t anticipate. And things will go wrong. Badly. The secret is knowing what to do next.

The whole issue is here. Share it with friends. Read it over lunch. Look mysterious in a cafe with it. Accidentally send it to workmates instead of that other dumb attachment. Haunt your ex with it. Pin it on your mood board. Quote sagely from it. You do you. templeinacity.com/explore-the-...
