RFK Jr: "Two weeks ago we ended, under your leadership, a twenty year war on women".

Three out of five men in this shot have been accused of sexual misconduct, harassment or abusive behaviour towards women. A fourth signed into law a near-total abortion ban in his state as governor.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's resigning in time to get a pension is a lesson to everyone.

Most Americans don't get *any* pension anymore, but Congress gave itself a pension after only five years of work.

Our "representatives" aren't working for us, they are [barely] working for themselves.

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

How did I get so old so quickly?

So exited to finally be able to donate blood! Did you know most cancer patients (in the US at least) cannot donate for a year after active treatment? And yet, many cancer patients need blood transfusions as part of their treatment. So happy to finally be able to help my community out this way!

Mine isn’t necessarily the premium. My out of pocket max is going up $1400. And when you are like me and have chronic illnesses and have had catastrophic illnesses, you hang out with a lot of docs. This is horrible for those of us with those types of illnesses.
Dr Oz says healthcare premiums will only increase $13 and it’s no big deal

Premiums will increase much more than that

It’s interesting that $13 is “no big deal” when people are screaming that their tax dollars shouldn’t go towards SNAP

You know how much the average taxpayer pays for SNAP? $36.

Several folks I know are finding out Spotify is playing ICE ads and that the CEO invested hundreds of millions of dollars in AI-driven drones meant for warfare. If you want to find another platform, I have really liked Qobuz. It doesn’t have podcasts or audiobooks, but musically, it’s great!
