I used to watch Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas every year as a kid. Roy Janik watching it reminded me that I don't know the last time I saw it so I'm about revisit it. I thought I'd find it on Disney+ but it wasn't there, however apparently the whole thing is on YouTube.

There's a lot of sucky things about it being 77F/25C on Christmas day, and one of them is that there's a hot tub where I'm staying and I doubt I'll use it.

Gigs Friday and Saturday (Saturday was out of town). Rehearsal today. Then I recorded 2 auditions and I put away my laundry AND changed my sheets. I'll take all the accolades now.

My iPhone started giving me a “Sleep Score.” I turned that off real fast. I don’t need to gamify my sleep and be sleep shamed because various factors led to my sleep score going down. 😴💤🥱

Weird quirk about me: I am a completionist. I can’t just jump into a show or podcast even if there’s no reason you need to see/hear previous episodes. I must start at episode 1 and catch up.

Unless something changes before the end of the year for some reason, my spreadsheet tells me I will have played 65 gigs with 14 different projects in 2025.

Any kind of argument or conflict, even trivial, really sticks with me. For a long time. Sometimes forever. I suppose this is why I’m so conflict-avoidant. I wonder what made me this way.
