I have some problems with the Flynn Effect being painted over humanity with a broad brush, but it kind of feels like the access to information that the average person has is acting like a bulwark to fully falling into fascism. It's like a speed limit to dictatorship.

If an organized, long term, solution has been put in place to fix a problem, eventually large numbers of people will no longer recognize that there is an entire system in place to protect them.
Vaccines, air traffic control, that food can be dangerous.

I don't think I had a real analogy for the Trump administration before diving into the AI bullshit going on. This type of fascism has a connection to historical examples, but it's definitely its own animal.
