Ah, it's back to school time! It was the first day for one of my teenagers. Waking up before the sun is not exciting, but routine feels supportive and cozy.

I'm back from vacation — happy to report it was everything it needed to be: a getaway, room for me to practice, and precious time with family. I'm truly refreshed and excited to put new knowledge into practice.

My clients are relieved when I tell them that they don’t have to tell me what happened. It’s hard to believe, isn’t it, that you wouldn’t have to go through it again to become liberated from it? 1/5

In the early days of healing, much of our effort is in discovering what we feel and learning how to allow it. Sadness, anxiety, dread, fear… our patterns keeps us protected from the full impact of these emotions usually. But healing requires that we access and honor how we really do feel, fully. 1/4

In moments of shock, horror, stress, etc we automatically move into a reactive space in our brain. This space is designed to keep us out of the present moment and into thoughts and planning of all kinds. It’s not a choice to move into this state. 1/6

I was driving in my neighborhood the other day and I encountered an obstacle, then a squirrel running into the street. Since everything is a healing metaphor for me I started thinking... our relationships are like cars. They are made to carry us on a journey. 1/4
