Da stellt sich mithin die frage ob nicht definitions- und verbotswütige Deutsche das Unsicherheitsgefühl jüdischer Menschen verursachen, und das vieler anderer leute
Obwohl die liberale deutsch-jüdische Tradition nicht mit einem Staat vereinbar ist, der Bürger zweiter Klasse aufgrund von Religion oder ethnischer Zugehörigkeit schafft, scheint Deutschland entschieden zu haben, dass nur jene jüdischen Stimmen zählen, die Israel bedingungslos unterstützen. De facto haben sich die Deutschen die Macht angemaßt, zu be-stimmen, wer jüdisch ist und wer nicht. Mir wurde von klein auf beigebracht, dass dies Antisemitismus sei. Es ist beleidi-gend, von Nichtjuden darüber bestimmt zu werden, wer jüdisch ist und wer nicht. Unerträglich ist es, wenn es sich dabei um Deutsche handelt..

November 2025 Der Kolonialismus ist ein herausfordernder und bis heute unvollendeter Prozess in der Aufarbeitung der deutschen Geschichte. Ein Beispiel dafür ist der sogenannte Herero-Stein auf dem Friedhof am Columbiadamm – ein Relikt der Kolonialzeit, das mehr Fragen aufwirft als Antworten gibt. Gemeinsam mit der namibischen Künstlerin Isabel Tueumuna Katjavivi haben wir uns in den Jahren 2023/24 intensiv mit dieser Thematik auseinandergesetzt und daraus das Ausstellungsprojekt BURIED MEMORIES entwickelt. Das Jubiläum der Städtepartnerschaft zwischen Berlin und Windhoek ist für uns ein willkommener Anlass, zentrale Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen aus dem Ausstellungsprojekt in einer kleinen, eigens kuratierten Kabinett-Ausstellung zusammenzuführen. Laufzeit: 17. – 23.
