Cosmic Princess Kaguya was so fun! Amazing visual & audio spectacle that resonated with me as someone who grew up in that specific time period of early internet communities starting to blossom around a shared love of Japanese internet culture. Lots of fun references & callbacks to a bygone era.

If Journal with Witch maintains its level of quality, I can see it being the hidden dark horse show of the season. It's by no means a flashy show, but there's an earnest tenderness to its portrayal of loss, loneliness, and the process of recovery from a tragedy is phenomenal so far.

Whenever I think about Darker than Black, my initial thought is still "it's the show that took over Code Geass season 1's timeslot."

Sometimes I think about how Odin Sphere Leifthrasir might be the only "modern" remake I can consistently champion time & time again with no caveats, because it included the entire original game on it and just simply allowed people to play the original experience with performance fixes.

I covered the Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Visions of Four Heroes story DLC that contains 4 what-if mini-campaign arcs for Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, & Lu Bu. My biggest enjoyment in Trails these days is hearing/reading someone’s reaction when they reach the credits of Kai no Kiseki / Trails beyond the Horizon.
I’m really going to enjoy the next few weeks & months as more people play & finish it.

Kinda wish that articles started adopting the practice of highlighting if the game they're reporting on uses generative AI. I often discover cool-looking niche games from these reports, but only find out their genAI usage later after having to do my own digging because the report didn't mention it.
