A potential trauma-related astrogliopathy?

Subpial tau astrogliopathy is frequently seen alongside CTE lesions and we also see it in our repeated head impact cases that don't have CTE. It's exciting to see new data exploring this.
Arena et al. show that a history of TBI or repetitive head impacts from contact sports is associated with widespread tau pathology within glial cells, beyond that of chronic traumatic encephalopathy. tinyurl.com/h658b3f2
