I cannot understand parents who ban books. Books teach us how to love, how to empathize, and how to appreciate the differences among us. Do you think your kids don’t encounter black kids, gay kids, etc in school. Ffs.

The Trump admin is dismantling Freedom of Information Act offices. Then the offices send out emails like, “Hello, the FOIA office has been placed on admin leave and is unable to respond to any emails.” The lengths this admin will go to ensure zero transparency with the American people is astounding.

Just read a comment claiming libraries are dead because of books. I love books but this just confirms that ppl who hate libraries haven’t been to one in 20 years. My daily life isn’t books - it’s people.
