Remembering a Thanksgiving dinner in the early 2000s with my Dad and a good family friend. It was a perfect storm, the wifes were all out of town. We went to the Keauhou Beach hotel thanksgiving buffet. It was excellent.

Matson is plenty busy. Going mainland and Asia direct. There is also Matson barges Honolulu to Kawaihae and Hilo

My wife needed to get loan documents notarized here in Kona. Itwas like getting an act of congress, in the current political climate. Took her 2 hours at “our” bank, and she got lectured too.

This wall on Alii Drive is almost pau. It stretches down to the kiawe tree at the other end. The Kanuha family. They are keeping their land, unlike Kamehameha schools.

Doesn’t look like Fosters Kona will ever reopen after the fire. When I looked at the videos and photos sure looks like a grease from the equipment, not the exhaust hood. Not sure why then Ansul system didn’t kick in, unless it wasn’t serviced. Investigators will sort that out.

When I went to college for culinary science and hospitality you had to actually had to make something. Tuesday and Thursday were in the kitchen.
