I will be honest: we are not talking nearly enough about the downstream effects of these ICE and CBP deployments.

For example: landlords and debt collectors file more aggressive collection and eviction suits with dubious (or no) factual bases, knowing that the defendants won't go to the courthouse.

Kordia on February 6 reportedly suffered a medical emergency—identified by a formerly detained individual as a fall resulting in a head injury and seizure—at the Prairieland Detention Center in Texas. Her legal team contacted 16 hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but none confirmed she was a patient. While ICE officials confirmed to her attorneys on Saturday morning that she was hospitalized, they did not disclose the facility's name or her current condition.
