“You could be that monster, you have decide in yourself, not to be.”
Have come round to thinking that LFC won’t be a cohesive unit until there’s further recruitment to balance out the profiles of the squad.

In the meantime, we could really do with our attackers converting at a much better rate than they are.

42% shot conversion last Ssn, 27% this time round.

Chiesa isn’t considered a starter in the PL, as much as I agree he should be getting more minutes.

(I’d be rotating him with Gakpo far more often)
Chiesa would be the obvious one but there are other options. Someone is going to need to play there in a few weeks either way.

Chiesa won’t play, the manager does not consider him a starting option in the PL.

Ngumoha is a child & cannot be part of a long term plan.

Gakpo on the right, would be more maddening than he currently is.

Isak when fit & a change of shape? Sure, but that is a significant bumpy departure
Chiesa, who deserves more than just cursory “Hail Mary” minutes right at the end?

Ngumoha, who, yes, needs careful management, but has barely played any football at any level over the past month?

Gakpo, if he hasn’t started?

Isak, when fit?

A less direct replacement as part of a change of shape?

Everyone in the UK can see that Brexit is the primary cause of our economic problems, yet no politician will even speak about it, much less fix it. Instead the govt continues to cut services & raise taxes - which makes everyone worse off, and fuels the liars that created Brexit in the first place
"Research released this month by economists at the Bank of England, the Bundesbank, King’s College London and the universities of Stanford and Nottingham underscored the economic hit from leaving the EU. Brexit had reduced UK GDP by 6-8%"

Think Slot got the selection wrong today. LFC physically second best where it mattered most & then got zero luck to go with it.

Think the manager will come under significant pressure over the next few weeks, then returns to a direct game against Dyche’s Forest…

City's three goals came from chances collectively valued at 0.11 xG.

Gakpo's chance was 0.15.

Would’ve thought the pressing & retention Jones offers would’ve made sense…

Felt like a super hard luck half for LFC.

You need some fortune when you’re away to them & for all their dominance of the ball, two deflected goals & that disallowed header feels so, so harsh

Really struggling to build so far. Going long to Hugo due to the pressure & he’s not been able to hold it

A performance to be proud of & a huge 3pts please LFC

The idea of *Matthew Syed* doing literally anything ‘humbly’ is so absurd that it at least saves energy on reading whatever comes next
Rage against group think, writes Matthew Syed in the Sunday Times, by reading out a paragraph of what *I* think at the beginning of every BBC editorial meeting.

Wirtz on the left was everything I thought it'd be when he signed.

Created the most chances, completed all of his dribbles and put in a serious graft out of possession.

So much to be happy with in that LFC performance given the context of this season so far.

Bradley outstanding against one of the world’s toughest opponents, Szobo utterly tremendous, Macca reminiscent of Macca.

Robbo rolled back the years & the CBs rock solid.

Wirtz so much more influential.

Jones time soon imo

Retention & energy, Mac gets a rest & off of the yellow tight rope

Two of Alexis Mac Allister's last seven Liverpool goals have been against Real Madrid

As happy as I’ve been with a 45 minute display from LFC this season. No goals sure, but intensity, structure & clarity of the game plan has been so much better.

Wirtz & Szobo shining.
November 4, 2025 at 8:48 PM
That is staggering bullshit from the official
November 4, 2025 at 8:34 PM
What a night it would be for Wirtz to remind everyone why he’s viewed as a generational European talent

In good news, the far right PVV is predicted to both lose seats and no longer be the largest party in the Netherlands. D66 (the predicted largest party, centre/centre-left) likely to forge a coalition with GroenLinks-PvdA (left/centre-left), VVD (centre-right), and CDA (centre/centre-right).

Some of you lot wheeling out the uncharitable crap about him having the audacity to go for a short break with his family, should take a look at yourselves.

Whatever Slot did tonight he’d have folks moaning at him.

This tournament is a hinderance in the scheme of things, I know that opinion annoys many.

The only surprise for me was that there weren’t any senior players on the bench to support the youngsters.

Sign Sarr & stick him in the reserves at this stage.

Not assed, it’s the Carabao, but BIG pressure on the Villa game now.
October 29, 2025 at 8:38 PM
Absolutely suicidal defending from Endo a minute before HT

That should be that for the Carabao
