“You could be that monster, you have decide in yourself, not to be.”
Why on earth would we let Robbo go at this stage of the window, with our current squad depth?

What a headline, an amazing summary
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will skip the signing of US President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” in Davos after Switzerland confirmed it would enforce the ICC arrest warrant over war crimes in Gaza.

LFC were very good tonight.

The shape suited the players well, things felt logical. Salah a welcome return despite some rustiness.

Kerkez & Frimpong excellent, as was Joe.

If Wirtz & Hugo were sharper it could have been 4 or 5 in truth

Frimpong is just so, so fast. It’s a serious weapon

That’s why you see players lying down behind the wall for a direct free-kick.

Great effort & accuracy from Szobo

LFC have been good tonight so far. A matter of inches & seconds away from putting the finishing touches to some excellent moves.

Not quite coming off for Hugo or Wirtz so far.

Salah looking very sharp.

Mac looking fit too.

Completely forgot Greenwood played for Marseille, hope someone absolutely nails him early on.

Had it confirmed that Jones is in the red fatigue wise. As are a fair few of them.

Dropping Gomez in tonight is also a huge risk loading wise. Unavoidable given our awful defensive depth though
Don’t really understand the decision to drop Jones unless it’s to do with load management of some sort.

Great to see Salah back & hopefully Joe can get back up to speed immediately.

Right on cue, here are the push alerts from the 3 major newspapers lmao

Outside of LFC’s struggles, good grief this is an uninspiring Premier League season.

More competitive in the middle? Perhaps, sure.

But the quality of games? Dire

Trump’s made it clear - give the US Greenland or we’ll attempt to ruin your economy. No backing away from what seems like an act of war now.

Thought the performance was better today & LFC created more than enough to win that game.

Ultimately they failed to take the big chances presented to them.

Gakpo once again underwhelming. Diaz’s dynamism sorely missing, not replacing him was thick.

Ultimately another poor result at home.

There’s such an obvious missing profile from this midfield.
Why does Jones drop into the backline rather than closing down the midfield? Giving time and space to opposition midfielders around the top of our box is sadly a recurring theme.

A notable drop in intensity from LFC in the build up to that goal.

Ali will probably be annoyed by his high standards, Grav loses his man?

Admirable consistency from Konate this season to keeping things “interesting” when we’ve managed to find a lead
January 17, 2026 at 4:22 PM
Exactly the sort of game you’d expect & want Wirtz to dominate & he really is.

So close to getting a second himself then put one on a plate for Gakpo.

Love that from Wirtz. Such an intelligent finish.

Brilliant work from Ekitike in the build up.

Humiliation for City

Elation for Carrick & Utd

A procession for Arsenal

Looking like three points from the last four games for City.

Barring a recovery here they’ll have also lost just one league game fewer than Liverpool this season, which doesn’t feel possible.

City have been awful here. Completely out fought and out thought. One hand on the title for Arsenal. Sigh.

Not bothered that we’re losing out on him in particular, I do think it’s reckless to leave LFC so light in defence.

One senior CB signing since 2019 now.
🚨 Man City in process of finalising deal to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. £20m + bonuses & sell-on %. 5.5yr contract. #MCFC intensified pursuit after Gvardiol/Dias injuries so #CPFC had to accept or lose 25yo as free agent in summer 🚨 @theathleticfc.bsky.social

Utterly hopeless goalkeeping

£ 1billion spent

Given we got Hansen to hand Virgil the PL trophy last season, do we reckon Arsenal will ask Pulis to hand it over to Ødegaard?
January 14, 2026 at 8:31 PM
Gutted for Salah but he can be proud of his efforts once again.

Time to rest up & settle his unfinished business for the Reds.
