I'm going with the alternate option for #BirdOfTheDay which is #GardenBirds (main theme is #solitude). Bushtits are tiny but brave, and will come very close to me to feed from the suet. The females always look intense d/t their yellow eyes. #birds

Did I take over 300 pictures of this one little bird? Why, yes, I did. A male Anna's Hummingbird perched on a slender twig. Its body is sideways with its head turned to look towards the camera. Its body is gray on the breast, black on the wings, and light to dark green iridescent on its back and tail. Its head and gorget are bright iridescent magenta pink with subtle orange along the right side edge and slightly purple towards the top of the head.

In reflecting on the past year, I realize one of the things that has consistently brought me peace and joy is the #birds and #BirdOfTheDay content on Bluesky. #reflections
