Well, Ye Olde Panoso here had such a thoroughly scratched and destroyed front glass that he is now going to be my personal science experiment to test all manner of theories i have on abrasive CRT glass polishing/scratch removal techniques

Today’s find, a lovely 27” Toshiba PV-M2767! Found in the back of a box truck- which was parked at the back of the junkyard.. 350 yards from the entrance. nearly 3 football fields! Anyways, it works great, but the screen is very deeply scratched. Might be fixable? my back hurts…

the fact that there are so many CRT’s people actively don’t want/care about that they willingly have given to a local disposal facility… just sitting there.. right now. and i’m not allowed to go and take even one……… just another example of the unfair world we live in TT__TT

Alright, well. the never ending saga of the Side-of-the-road Samsung continues. after some further use it began to noticeably have a “flagging” effect (horizontal distortion when lots of colors were being displayed) as well as having some front IO bugginess. it is now 100% FULLY re-capped & fixed…

I gotta hand it to this eMachine 400i3’s crystal CS4281 integrated sound chip, i believe it officially has the worst DOS emulation i’ve ever heard. Impressive! I don’t even think the IBM Mwave sounds this horrendous!

it’s crazy how much conscious effort it takes to not allow myself to turn nocturnal. you’d think the human brain would much more easily adjust itself to the sun being up/down, but when given more than 5 days off work it becomes a real struggle to keep my sleep schedule intact

i really don’t know why i bother with goodwill anymore. I have NEVER gotten a single console, PC, or CRT from a plain old goodwill. I’ve been going for 10 years. I think I bought a lamp once, that’s about it. This is *always* the state of my local goodwills “electronic section”. always.

new way to play HL2, you must locate a CRT and pick it up, you must not put it down. if you lose the CRT due to the game not allowing you to continue with it you must immediately locate a replacement CRT and continue accordingly.
