For those of you out there, rest assured that you're not alone. Whether you're seen or not, I can't always say, but you are not alone.

Harambe's death definitely spun us off into the dumbest timeline possible.
Tonight’s special from the Twilight Zone: the White House now cites DoorDash for economic data—because nothing says fiscal credibility like fries with your forecast. What’s next? Basing GDP on GrubHub? Inflation reports by Uber Eats?
In this Twilight Zone, the data arrives lukewarm and overcharged.

Imagine what leverage must exist for her to get this deal made. Just use your imagination to figure out what promises or assurances were made on her end to get this result. It certainly didn't only benefit her.

11/12 - A Disney movie.

The Little Mermaid (1989) - The first Disney animated movie I ever saw, wheeled into my high school Oceanography course and played on Laserdisc just before the Christmas break in 1993. Fell in love with it.

Just proof that a little bit of reality thrown into a fictional story can create what is, 50 years later, still one of the most riveting soliloquies ever put on film.

On this Veteran's Day, I'd like to share an old song sung by one of my dearest friends, in honor of the lost and fallen of the battle of Gallipoli in WWI.

We need men and women with spines who are willing to stand up and actually fight and sacrifice for their constituents, not lobbyists.
"I am tired of losing and worse, I am tired of expecting to lose. We need Democrats who will use their positions of power not to constantly capitulate, compromise, and cave, but to fight-- not to say the word ‘fight’ because it’s the popular thing to do, but to actually do it and mean it."

Another sign that it's like a cult. Anything they consider good, they credit to the genius and acumen of their Dear Leader's policies. Anything they consider bad couldn't possibly be his fault and must be due to someone trying to sabotage him or make him look bad.
It’s as old as time. Trump supporters NEVER blame Trump for anything. It’s always someone else’s fault. His staff, his advisors, the media…when Trump does something stupid and/or wrong, it’s never his fault. Trump supporters treat him like a poor, helpless idiot.

Yeah, they're not too big on the pinky promises, after all.
A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

This man genuinely has no concept of what the average person knows or doesn't know. Magnets. Groceries. ID at the gas station. He is like a savant that isn't actually good at anything.
Trump: "Nobody knows what magnets are."

Unfortunately, all too true. Republicans are mostly, ultimately, evil, and Democrats are mostly, ultimately, spineless.
I’ve said this b4, but here’s a little inside baseball from a former Republican: Back in my GOP days, we Republicans would privately laugh at how Democrats would never go to the mat to win. We always knew Democrats wouldn’t fight to the death politically.

Last night proved Republicans right again.

A reminder that this anti-trans panic is 100% bullshit and exactly none of our country’s problems are related to someone expressing their gender identity and everyone who isn’t a hate-filled weirdo knows it.

“It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice."

Mark Hamill described it as "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory", and I felt that was an apt description as well. It'd be nice to be able to actually enjoy some wins for a time before the next fuck-up. But I will say this - I have a feeling this may be the end of Schumer's political career.
Sometimes, the onion is factual.
