Shared by my section chief: HHS has published a PDF list of terminated federal awards. Updated every Friday. Sickening.

“American students are looking to institutions overseas.”

Making America Weak As can be, to sell out our government to corrupt oligarchs.

The MAWA agenda is meant only to enrich Musk and Trump — to let them steal from you. Every Republican in Congress supports Musk.

Young scientists see career pathways vanish as schools adapt to federal funding cuts
Reductions to federal support for research at universities and other institutions under President Donald Trump are dimming young scientists’ prospects, cutting off pathways to career-building projects and graduate programs.

Love PartsBuilt3D for Prusa parts and 3D printing accessories. Small business based in Ohio, great customer service. Happy to spend a buck or two more to support them for a part than give more money to Amazon...

Yes. Journalists should note this:
Every science or tech student, age 5-35 today, is looking at the destruction of their career prospects due to Trump and Musk.

We should be interviewing those students and talking about the impact to their lives.
Every one of my friends is asking “do I even have a career going forward”
“Our next generation of researchers are now poised on the edge of this cliff, not knowing if there’s going to be a bridge that’s going to get them to the other side, or if this is it”

Musk and Trump are blowing up science careers for every STEM student.

Switching e-mail and search providers away from Google/Alphabet has been not nearly as painful as I thought it would be. Proton Mail is excellent, and although not quite as fast/polished as the Gmail experience, it makes up for it greatly in simplicity, customizability, and LACK OF ADS.

The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.

Everyone who was wrongfully terminated, or took the buyout and the offer was rescinded, is going to sue in court and be awarded damages. In the end, the whole exercise will have cost the government MORE money, and institutional knowledge and top talent will all be driven away.

Going all in on my technology refresh this week. Going to give Vivaldi a try for a week and see how it goes. I have been a die-hard fan of Opera since the mid-2000's, but getting tired of bloat, constant unnecessary design changes, and in-your-face AI features.
