Fall and Winter Pheasants

I've been interested in incorporating more traditional media textures in my digital work. This was inspired by my partner's family's annual fall pheasant hunt. This year there was a huge blizzard on the day of the hunt, so I decided to do a diptych!

sure, cats love to try to walk on wet paint/ink, but digital artwork is not immune to their chaos. they also love to walk across my keyboard and disappear toolbars and panels in photoshop that I have to google extensively on how to recover.

Another year older, another illustrated self-portrait. This year I wanted to try to recreate the effects of my visual snow syndrome. I often describe it as having a low-opacity multiply layer of TV static over my vision, so... I made a low-opacity multiply layer of static over a drawing.

Dice box: a little personal project I've been working on this month. I've been seeing a lot of East European folk art influence lately, especially in interior decoration. I've really been enjoying looking at it, so I decided to treat myself to a little bit of the aesthetic and dnd it up a bit!

Hi, I'm Haley, an illustrator/art director based in Detroit. I'm searching for a more vibrant art community online and I'm looking forward to sharing my work here/on Flashes! Here's a completely photorealistic self-portrait I drew for my birthday last year so you know who you're dealing with.
