Palestinský aktivista a držitel zelené karty Mahmoud Khalil, byl 8. března 2025 zatčen a nyní čelí možnému vyhoštění, přestože proti němu nebyla vznesena žádná trestní obvinění. Khalil je momentálně držen v detenčního centru v Louisianě přibližně 2000(!) kilometrů od svého domova.
