The economic cost of Brexit to the UK now exceeds what it paid into the EU over its entire 47 years of membership.

A colossal, unprecedented act of economic self-harm sold to a nation by grifters and snake oil salesmen.

A very, very good friend tells me what I could have been if I hadn't done this or that. He's probably right, but my God I'm glad to the ends of the Earth for the beautiful children we have. Best gift/contribution ever.

A reminder:
AI ‘art’ is soulless, plagiarised trash. Pass it on.

Ps: this is just one example of art you can use to represent the ancient world: actual ancient art ffs.

It ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. What a difference twelve months makes!
... Twelve months, plus enormous grant, loads of donations (thank you), and a ferocious amount of work.

The scaffold came down at St Lawrence’s, Gumfreston, Pembrokeshire recently, and we could hardly believe our eyes.

The stress of preparing to confront staff to account for their questionable actions is at times physically painful. These are people who I respect, and need. Being a new school head is at once fulfilling, frustrating, inspiring, disheartening, enabling, incapacitating. And the best job in the world.

Like some of you, I feel that Twitter is simply toxic, despite there being many fine people there. Discussions around politics have been hijacked; insults and threats abound. I've had enough of blocking malicious bots and trying to deal with hateful replies. I hope this place keeps its sanity.
