I'm delighted to have been awarded a Yorke Prize by @cambridgelaw.bsky.social for my PhD thesis, "The Justification and Limits of Liberty of Conscience". A monograph based on the thesis will be published in 2026 with @hartpublishing.bsky.social

This is a tightly argued paper that challenges some prevailing assumptions on the compatibility of life sentences with human rights (as understood by the ECtHR). Still, I'd have liked to see more as to whether all carceral regimes are covered by the argument (or just some). Anyway, recommended
