New game design goal: Not doing this
Since the star collection and post-star collection cutscenes in Super Mario Galaxy 2 have an average length of 30 seconds and a full playthrough collects 240 stars, the player spends at least 2 hours per playthrough simply watching Mario collect stars.

Some Trinkets have been found to have special "Conditions", giving them additional properties! Some are simple benefits, while others offer some kind of trade-off... maybe a Trinket you wouldn't usually take is more appealing if it's Vintage!

i may be killed for this, but while i agree that the silksong devs could've easily communicated themselves better, it still would've been 7 years of hearing about silksong that half the world would've built unrealistic expectations and frustrations around, and people would still be pissed off

When entering checkpoints, you will occasionally come across a Recycler, allowing you to exchange one of your Trinkets for a different one. The types of deals they offer can vary, so always be sure to check them!
