if you genuinely think Schumer and Democratic leadership opposed this & Republicans coincidentally got exactly the number of votes they needed to avoid a filibuster and none of those votes are from Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in the midterms next year, I have a bridge to sell you.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

If you can’t hold your Paty in line and stop this capitulation, then you’re not fit to lead. You need to resign your leadership or you should be removed. Guarantee Harry Reid wouldn’t be in this position… he knew how to lead and how to fight. Pathetic!

Keep fighting for Americans and do not cave. If Republicans want to nuke the filibuster, let them. But if they want our votes, then they have to negotiate and give us something in return. We got nothing. Why did we keep this up for 40+ days? We could have had this deal weeks ago.

It’s a disappointment and a disgrace. We’re taking the energy and passion stoked by No Kings and Tuesday’s blowout and pissing it away. This is ultimately on Chuck Schumer… would have never happened under Harry Reid, who knew how to lead and to fight. Schumer has to go.
