(again, I can joke about my trauma, you may not) The home my grandparents bought in the 50s, burnt "down to the studs". We lost several pets we were unable to rescue before the fire dept got there, and nearly everything my family has ever owned. Seeing other folks get help made me hope maybe I can too, even this late. I have a lot I want to live for. I'm happy for the first time since childhood. I have a partner who loves me that I feel safe with. We have an amazing dog who we both adore.
