Euro-Islander.
Worse than it looks.
Final note. It’s pure hopium, because I have zero faith in any meaningful amount of people actually forming a consensus that people and parties should be banned, regardless of how evidently dangerous they are.

“But it’s democracy! Just because you don’t agree with them!” will be of zero comfort 😐
Unpopular opinion, but it may be that Farage as PM is the only thing that’ll force progressives to grow a spine.

If he wins in 2029, and *IF* he loses the GE after that, the mainstream needs to get its act together. Ban him, ban his media, ban his backers, force them out. Zero. Fucking. Tolerance.

Wanting to deport legal immigrants with ILR is one of those “it’s okay to ban someone from politics because of their views” scenarios.

Journalists still don’t get it, Reform voters DO NOT CARE how their party behaves, or how unfit its people are to lead.

Farage could literally set fire to their voters’ houses and it wouldn’t dent their polling because Reform voters aren’t serious people

The BBC just can’t help itself, can it?

Nothing on the homepage on Jenrick anymore, and taking Badenoch’s word as gospel in the headline.

“Badenoch claims, without any evidence” would be the correct phrasing.

Take politics out of the BBC’s editorial remit

Progressives in the UK and US need to wake up. They’re too soft, too attached to the useless “when they go low, we go high” way of doing things.

Unlike the US, the UK hasn’t been taken over by the far right, but we’re failing the test.

You want to safeguard democracy? Start banning people

The BBC’s response to the complaints ranges from outright lying, to completely ignoring the facts.

Reform are high in the polls partly *because* of the BBC promoting them and failing to scrutinise them.

Take politics out of the BBC editorial now

If you wanna talk conspiracy, there’s every chance the Trump admin or someone close to it wanted Charlie Kirk dead.

Make a martyr, claim it was Antifa, Democrats, Trans (and in typical style, do an embarrassingly poor job of making evidence appear - trans messages engraved on bullets?!)

Political programming should be stripped from the BBC’s editorial remit.

Place it in the hands of a panel of citizens, of all parties, serving a set term, and let them oversee it.
I can’t believe that the BBC’s political editor finished his package on Mandelson with the suggestion that had Nigel Farage been appointed UK ambassador to Washington Starmer wouldn’t be facing this crisis. Was that a quote or a comment by Mr Mason? In both cases, this was not impartial reporting.

It's all well and good to point out the hypocrisy, dishonesty, inconsistency, incompetence, and downright appalling nature of a political party and its leaders.

However, when the party's voters simply do not care and indeed find it all rather appealing, it may be time to deploy different tactics.

It’s 2029

Reform cut SEND funding to the bone.

Vaccine research is defunded because the government is now proudly anti-science and anti-health, taking cues from the US

Abortion is made illegal

Equality laws are rolled back

But yeah, banning Reform would’ve been so wrong 🙄

Wake the fuck up!
It’s 2029: Reform open the UK up to the highest bidder, courting the likes of Peter Thiel and Elon Musk to plant their flag in the ground.

We suffer a brain drain as academics leave the UK given its anti-science, anti-research government.

But yeah, banning them would’ve been wrong 🙄
It’s 2029: Reform are deporting women back to the Taliban

Your British neighbours have been attacked because they’re the wrong colour

Cringey UK flavoured Christian nationalism enters the classroom

Russian money flows into UK politics, welcomed by the government.

But yeah, we can’t ban Reform 🙄

It’s 2029: Reform take the UK out of the ECHR, stripping you of your rights.

They copy ICE and send in masked thugs, causing terror.

They ramp up fossil fuel production and end green energy.

They quietly encourage racist attacks.

The NHS is sold.

But yeah, banning them would’ve been wrong 🙄

‘Isaac Herzog will make trip just weeks before UK is planning to recognise statehood of Palestine’

What are the odds that Starmer will row back on the proposed recognition of Palestine soon after this meeting?

Is @teamlabouruk.bsky.social actually focus grouping their policies and messaging with anyone outside the No.10 bunker they’re holed up in?

It’s almost awe-inspiring to see a Party this clueless and determined to be wiped out only one year into their first term

Starmer had one shot to fix the country.

Rejoin S/M, implement P/R, + press & social media reg => ultimately bring us down from the frenzied radicalisation & echo chambers.

He's fucked up on all of it.

He probably will be ousted.

2,500 more signatures needed to get us to 10k. Help us get there. Anyone you know who wants fair coverage, pass them this way to sign. Democracy matters and our broadcasters need to report on ALL parties! They’re currently failing us. Here’s the link. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/71...

This should be an easy attack line for Labour, but would anyone really be surprised if Starmer’s response is to invite the Taliban over for a state visit? 🤷‍♂️
With Reform UK saying it would be reasonable to pay the Taliban to return migrants to Afghanistan, how many Britons this would be acceptable?

Acceptable: 17%
Unacceptable: 61%

% acceptable by party
Reform: 35%
Con: 23%
Lab/Lib Dem: 7-13%
