I think that distinction might go to the Smurfs.

There was a TV show in the 1960s but it only was shown in Belgium and only ran for nine episodes in a multi year run. It's also partially lost.

In 1981, Season 1 of the HB show alone lasted nearly triple that with 26 episodes.

Note: Penciller's dancing shoes are of a sapphire color rather than a gold color.
