I agree, local news matters. I'm pleased to hear @CBCNews is growing their Nanaimo bureau to improve coverage of island communities like Courtenay. But there's a fight ahead to ensure the Conservatives can't move forward w/their promise to defund the CBC. www.cbc.ca/news/editors...
