Played SPM prerelease. Had a good time playing UBR Discard w/ [[Norman Osborn]]. Something about discard is cool but slightly underpowered compared to RG aggro and RGW Miles.

Haven't had time to play with much UB outside of prerelease, but both of the standard sets so far have felt good insularly.

I made a video about some of the secondary market issues universes beyond may pose, and how they resemble the reserved list.

Wizards have done something great with the FF set: they introduced a mechanic with a name that allows them to use it in any set! Combined with aptly named ability words, this mechanic allows players to follow gameplay easier. Please, please keep doing this, WotC.

When I tell people "buy singles", I don't mean this...

Just wait 2 months and let everything settle.

Have a look at Mox Jasper and Dracogenesis.
Why is everyone going nuts over Vivi?

I love Vivi from a lore reason, but any reason they’re so hyped?

With the community and Wizards spoiling the Final Fantasy set, it has quickly became the best-selling set in MTG history. It would be interesting to see WotC and Square Enix collaborate in the future to go in depth into an era of games (or a single game) rather than all of the mainline games.
