Lots of #mathisfun so far and it’s only lunchtime in #STEMcamp at #NCSSM www.ncssm.edu/courses/math... ‘Math Explorations for Curious Children’. This morning we looked at finding number & sum of factors, going from one to next perfect cube, calendar math & Doomsday Rule, & more. #mtbos #iteachmath

#MathArt project in calculus class today. Students generated "Reimondrian" art in @desmos.com. (Inspired by @mathzorro.bsky.social). Reimondrian is a mash up of Reimann sums and Piet Mondrian art. Some very creative students. #ITeachMath #MathsToday

@anniekp.bsky.social Inspired by your #mathartchallenge, my MαRT class painted the 120 permutations of 5 colors along the base of my classroom walls. The students were so proud! Thank you for sharing your ideas!

Setting a wee ✨Math Art challenge✨ for myself starting tomorrow - here are my prompts.
I would obviously looooove if anyone else wanted to join in on any of the days!
Before I draw the prompt sheet up pretty, are there any glaring omissions or faux pas’s? ☺️

Had lots of fun recreating a pattern @n-gons.bsky.social recently posted but with a minor twist using #TileFarm studio. I used two colors for clarity, but this is made using a single tile based on a geometric series of 30-60-90 triangles. #tessellation #iTeachMath #Math #MTBoS #mathart

Started class today with a quick Estimation180 prompt. How many pennies in the bowl? Average class estimate was 393 (min 226, max 800). Way more under-estimates than over-estimates. #ITeachMath estimation180.com/day-151/
