Here's another bit of conventional wisdom Zohran completely blew away: His speech was at well above a 10th-grade level. It was complex, erudite, punctuated by deep and fluent references. You don't have to condescend to voters with baby talk! Part of re-establishing norms is speaking like an adult.

This photo keeps reminding me of Richard Rohr’s book, Everything Belongs. Everything belongs—shadow and light, cloud and sky, boulder and dust, high ground and riverbed, land and water. We all belong too 💗

Bees doing their thing is pretty amazing. Capturing any of it in a still shot is a joy. I’m discovering I need to return to the practice of finding good each day 🙌🏼 Definitely soothes the heart and mind. These are some wild times we’re living. Take care ☮️ #photography

A corrupt, authoritarian government seizes an innocent man, tortures and jails him on trumped-up charges that change during a manipulated "legal" process. The prisoner is left at the mercy of dehumanizing politicians & jailers to do with what they please.

Went to Trader Joe’s last night and the checker asked about anything amazing I’d done with my day. I sheepishly admitted I’d taken some photos of clouds I enjoyed. Checker looked about 12 (so prolly at least 22) smiled broadly and said “REALLY? I love clouds too!” We exchanged our favorite recent

If there's one thing that domestic violence research has taught me, it's that abusers set up no-win scenarios. They punish you whether you cooperate with them or whether you push back.

The only way out is to strengthen ties with people outside of the relationship who can create new, better options.

The death-rattle of Empire is horrific

And it will take as many with it as it can

But a new world is possible

And a new world is in the process of emerging.

We must work to bring it into being as quickly as we can.

We are living now inside the imagination of people who thought economic disparity and environmental destruction were acceptable costs for their power. It is our right and responsibility to write ourselves into the future.

Hey, Dems in Congress, the reason we keep calling & asking you to do more is b/c we need you to do more. From our POV it looks like there’s no strategy & we elected you to represent us. If there’s something you need us to do, tell us & we’ll help but whatever you’re doing now isn’t working.

Here’s a strategy: 1) establish the frames, what problems will these changes cause, how will they impact communities; 2) inspire people to use those frames to tell their own stories of their families or communities are impacted; 3) amplify those stories.
Scientists and journalists need to figure out right quick how to explain to the average person how a massive change in research indirects will impact the medical care they and their children get (eg at the local children’s hospital), the education their children will get, the price of tuition, etc.
