@governor.ny.gov and Albany leaders announced they are delaying implementation of the All-Electric Buildings Act. Every day of delays means another day with higher cost and less clean air for New Yorkers.

Menstrual products are used by millions of New Yorkers, but many contain toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” that pose serious health risks. The Legislature unanimously passed a ban on PFAS in these products and now we’re urging @governor.ny.gov to sign this legislation into law.

Over 6,500 good New York jobs are gone and $2.5 billion in investments have been lost across New York, thanks to the Trump administration assault on renewables. Clean energy is the path forward, and where the federal government won’t lead, New York can and must step up.

The NESE Pipeline has been rejected three times before because it failed to meet NY’s clean water standards, & nothing has changed. @governor.ny.gov & the @dec.ny.gov must decisively reject this proposal again to keep New Yorkers safe & our environment protected.

The All Electric Buildings Act was passed in 2023 as a major step toward decarbonization — and now some of our legislators want to put it on pause. It needs to move forward, as Allison Considine of the Building Carbonization Coalition told @sarbetter.bsky.social on Capital Tonight.

Climate Week 2025 was a huge gathering of climate leaders & elected officials from across the country discussing how we can advance our climate goals to make our water, air, & communities healthier and cleaner. But, as EANY’s Vanessa Fajans-Turner writes in @commondreams.org, NY has much left to do.

Ed Power never had issues with his basement flooding in Breezy Point until Hurricane Sandy hit. Now, he’s worried about the dangerous NESE pipeline damaging the beach & putting his home at further risk. @governor.ny.gov & the DEC must reject the dangerous proposal, & protect NYC’s beach communities.
