Is it really a difficult choice? More taxes on the wealthiest or the poorest continue to struggle? Ooh I just can't decide.

If you think the super-rich should pay more tax: join.greenparty.org.uk
This is a real issue that food banks are seeing across the country: people are being forced to get into bed because they can't afford to put the heating on.

Many of them are in receipt of Universal Credit.

It's time for change. Everyone deserves a warm, safe place to call home. 🏠

Much talk last night about green-washing of Hynet (at a cost of £22 billion).

But also hope with a discussion of the opportunities the Mayoral and council elections in 2027 can bring.

Happy New Year to everyone - with a wish that I was curled up fast asleep not encouraging my terrified rescue dog not to pee everywhere...

Do fireworks have to have loud bangs? Time for a rethink.

I forgot to send a heap of Christmas Cards, which is good because I've been able to help a good cause instead.

If you're in the same position and feeling bad about it too, here's a suggestion.

Wouldn't it be easy to make this inclusive? Couldn't they just call it "women and trans women's conference" if they must make a thing of it? Seems designed to be gender critical.

join.greenparty.org.uk instead. You're not leaving Labour, they've left you.

Labour flip-flopping around trying to please everyone - first it's "get hard on immigration to please the right" now it's "get rid of the 2-child benefit cap [finally] to please the left".

I'll stick with the party which has genuine belief in fairness, equality and justice.

Getting the same up here in Cheshire East in the Macclesfield Central by-election.

No wonder StopReformUK.vote recommended #VoteGreen on Thursday both in Macclesfield and in Hale (for Trafford Council).

Did voters expect this level of unhumanity from a Labour government?

My country welcomes refugees, and understands that when you're fleeing, you need certainty and the chance to make a new home where you can be safe. Doesn't yours?

If John wins on Thursday, he will be the first Green Councillor on Cheshire East Council.

I"m not saying the lack of Green vision of hope for people and the planet is why our Council is so lacklustre, but John offers real hope of real change.
Are you still wondering about your vote in the Macclesfield Central by-election? Want to "stop Reform" - or any other divisive party? If so, #VoteGreen!

But most of all, choose John Knight for hope of better times to come for the people of Macclesfield Central.

This could be John Knight, Green Party Candidate in the Macclesfield Central by-election and @zackpolanski.bsky.social laughing about Reform - but more likely their focus is on bringing hope of a better future for ordinary people in Macclesfield.

"Keir Starmer's Labour tacking to the right to try and catch up with Reform"

Apart from meaning that the vulnerable in our society are abandoned, this just shows that they are prepared to jettison their values for popularity.

Justice for people and planet - values matter.

True - no other party has a positive message of hope for the people of Macclesfield.

If Macclesfield Labour Party tell you "it's us or Reform", they're clearly trying to instill fear.

You know it's not true - just look around you! You can vote for hope of a better future.

"Eventually they [Reform] have got to run something... I think that will be the test".

So far - no savings, proposed 10% increase in Council Tax, Councillors resigning, being suspended from the party... I could go on.

Keep voting Reform at your risk.

#VoteGreen for hope of a better future.
