And the response is always, 'Oh, but we said it that one time' as if no one knows how coverage works and that to get a story to penetrate into the low-information voters who decide elections, you have to hammer a story over and over again in headlines, because they only tune in from time to time.

Wow, almost like the media and journalism profession failed in some sort of professional duty to actually inform these low-engagement voters about what Trump was saying he wanted to do and the consequences of those plans.

There is a moral-failure-of-the-voters here, but it's not the only one.
