Gave up most social media for my own wellbeing. Let’s see how this goes.

Providence, RI ⚓️ based dad, husband, corporate nerd, indie rock fan, and museum wanderer. Worried about the climate and dreaming about living in a passive house on the coast.
STOP. This is a selfie checkpoint. You must repost with a cute selfie to proceed

Spent Friday night getting dinner (including my first shot of Malört) at Lucky Enough, and the walked down to Olneyville to see Bane and Hot Water Music at Fete Ballroom.

Hot Water Music confirms that at least one good thing comes out of Florida (they’re from Gainesville).

I was so happy to vote for @sueanderbois.bsky.social when she first ran for City Council, and even though I’ve moved across town, she has never let me down. You bet she has my vote. youtu.be/DJX16vY0ax4?...

One of my dreams for Providence is to live long enough to see Luongo Square pedestrianized: The only cars that could drive on Carpenter or West Fountain between Knight & Battey were residents, and the only ones that could drive through are emergency vehicles.

And I don’t even live there.

Hey #BikeSky, what’s the consensus on pedal-assist e-bikes? Debating between a step-through or folding for my 5-6 mile commute.

I think @kennyuong.bsky.social has a new best friend.
Meet Makai King, the 10-year-old who loves the T and has gathered a small but fiercely supportive following on social media with videos about his adventures. trib.al/rSCI2ZQ

HIRE SEAN YOU PEOPLE
I've apparently reached "Figure out IPV6 for my network" levels of unemployment.

So if you need a software engineering manager or something else vaguely me-shaped, hit me up.

I, too, have noodles for brains.
Udon Nou, who has noodles for brains, is a mascot from Kagawa Prefecture. He was handing out certificates to winners at this year’s Yuruverse mascot popularity contest (having won in 2023).

Rhode Island Department of Education: Hold my beer
More than five years after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down schools for months, Massachusetts students continue to lag far below pre-pandemic levels on state tests, according to MCAS scores.
Massachusetts students still lag behind pre-pandemic levels, MCAS results show - The Boston Globe
Grade 10 results suggested some students took the test less seriously after voters eliminated the MCAS as a graduation requirement last year.

Do you want to screen Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile in your town or city, unlike a cowardly major movie chain?

Email us at jeffreyepstein@theonion.com.

We'll allow you to screen it for free.

Yes, again, this is real.
A very big Onion announcement:

The Onion has spent the last two months working on a masterpiece.

It's a documentary titled Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile.

It's so good, in fact, we were set to release it in theatres nationwide on October 2nd.

Then two weeks ago, Charlie Kirk was shot.

I don’t know if you like hard, slow post-metal with little to know vocals, but if you do, I can’t recommend this album enough. I heard Glacier for the first time when I saw @caveinboston.bsky.social a few weeks ago, and have been consistently listening to them since.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains

OP shows their limited musical range with the exclusions. Here’s three.
