Good morning. Still quite a bit of snow in cold pockets and the road edges but otherwise we’re clear now after 10 days!

It’s frosty and 4.5 out this morning. Today’s #photooftheday is from this time last year when we also had #snow Sorry I couldn’t resist this #sunrise reshare.

My next sequence in my new Septology of sonnet collections explores the route of Wombwell waterway Knoll Beck which confluences with the River Dearne, working its way from the site of a Civil War battle, to its accompanying the Dearne and Dove canal and final confluence with the Dearne.

A little serious whimsy:
So Nightfall How can it be when it is Dayfall and NightRise? It is Sundown, moonrise, StarsOut. I walk home from work in moonblaze, lampland. Winter is galaxies of sparkleout. I walk on fallen stars. They have me slip and slide, glister and glide in saltcrunch boots. Hold onto walls, watch for the blackice trip, skating on the thin ice of a new route. Summer is fragrant lunarwine. Tipsy constellations before the sun is gone. Inhale fertile air that excites giddy tastes on the tongue as if snogged by the sun. Welcome wild rise and fall, whether night or day. You are my living.I say no more.

Good morning all. Still got the snow but it’s only -0.5 today and the snow ploughs have done a tour of he village so no longer snowed in.
