Bipartisan, Veto-Proof Bill to Restore Funding to VOA Proceeding through Congress 📣

On January 14, by a veto-proof bipartisan majority of 341 to 79, the House approved a bill that would allocate $643 million for U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) and Voice of America (VOA).

The way to combat waste, fraud, and abuse isn’t holding partisan hearings like the one the House held today—it’s prioritizing agencies like the nonpartisan Gov’t Accountability Office.

🚊 In 2023, a Norfolk Southern train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. Three days later, Norfolk Southern pressured local authorities to conduct an open burn of tanker cars—two years later, we see increased cancer rates in the area.
