Also stopping at my sister's friend's house on the way back and he'd dump whatever candy he had left in his bowl into my bag, that was also pretty sweet. Probably more candy than others would get all night.

Walking home alone at the end of the night after my friends and I finished our trick-or-treating. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut and just walking down the backroads at night with the rustling of leaves and total darkness apart from the dying candles in jack-o-lanterns was magical.
