Warm corpse. Benign biomass. I watch horror movies a lot. Dead by dawn. Dead by dawn!
Accidentally watching this video on my break was a bad move.

The language of non-consent around AI is really telling. "It's too late to be scared." "It's here whether we want it or not." "You'll have to learn to work with it." "You can't fight the inevitable."

All just variations of "you're not allowed to say no." Creepy technology made by creepy people.

Let me get this straight. An acclaimed Spanish director got to make a big budget paranormal film with Cillian Murphy, Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver? WHAT? It’s such a tight cut film. Really impressive fast paced storytelling. #filmsky #tubi

But what if.. scary Titanic in space? And thus Dead Silence was born! I am late to the party on this one but there’s always time for cosmic horror. #horror #booksky

This month, a team endorsed by Guillermo del Toro released Mexico's first stop-motion feature. It's 2 hours of pure imagination.

The film is called I Am Frankelda, and we've taken a deep look into how it came to be: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/the-film-a...

After watching Deep Rising again, I really really wish Stephen Sommers campy action formula stuck around. He perfected it with The Mummy and Van Helsing and then all fun died in film. Bring back the cheese! #filmsky #stephensommers

Sputnik.. what was it? Die Hard-ET? Stranger Things-Venom? That was a really really unexpected Alien throwback. Sputnik 2020. #scifi #shudder #filmsky #russianfilm

Late to the party. This film was so incredible. It isn't easy to make a fresh horror in forest setting. Fell in love with the beautiful cinematography and the storyline creativity. I hope Shawn Linden sticks to film. Hunter Hunter 2020. #horrorsky #filmsky #shudder

Where would we be without 80s horror? This film is a masterwork of the horror skinflick. Kevin Tenney nailed it. Fun. Sexy. Gory. Night of the Demons 1988. #filmsky #horror

I put this off to avoid the tediousness but I finally figured out how to bypass the DRM while screenshotting movies. DRM is stupid. Pirates are always going to win so why harm the fandom?

Hunter Hunter 2020 was so impressive. I love the horror chess: when the director knows the expectations of the audience then deliberately tries to outsmart them. Is mom horror a genre? #filmsky #horrorsky #horror #shudder

This is my first and maybe last Stephen Cognetti film. What a missed opportunity for a fresh film about an ENTIRE TOWN that has full knowledge about a haunting. There was also a decent twist here that needed a better screenplay. Pass on it. 825 Forest Road 2025. #horror #filmsky #stephencognetti

It won't make waves but sometimes a low budget sci-fi hits the mark. For such a limited cast and shooting location, I think this film deserves some recognition. Last Sentinel 2023. #scifi #fillmsky #taneltoom #malachismyth

I watched Buckaroo Banzai for the first time blind. Oh my god. Nothing prepared me for a film that collected most unhinged actors in Hollywood to enact the most unintelligible screenplay I have ever seen. IT. WAS. AWESOME. #filmsky #buckaroobanzai #jonwright #markstay

The director of A Christmas Story and Porky's, Bob Clark, makes one of the best horror films I have ever seen. Completely overshadowed by the big slashers of its time and so underrated. Ultimately an anti-war film. Deathdream / Dead of Night 1974. #horrorsky #filmsky #bobclark

I'm am definitely aged out for Chappell Roan so the music isn't for me but she's got some David Bowie levels of creativity and style. Definitely an emblem of her generation. Incredible stuff.

The late Douglas McKeown writes a gory-fun horror film about a phallic meteorite monster. The kid gets it but everyone else gets eaten. This is a film that went all in on the practical effects. The Deadly Spawn 1983. #horrorsky #filmsky #douglasmckeown
